the prequel movies were great. People hated them at the time but compared to the actual pure SLOP Disney is producing RN they were the best movies ever. Original trilogy is obviously always going to be better, but the prequels will always have a special place in many people’s hearts. The Sequel trilogy is literally a fanfic. Those movies are just… Nothing. They don’t make you feel anything at all, You just sit there in silence as the scenes change and the characters continue to spout random nonsense. The Sequels are specifically made to nostalgia-bait as much as possible. The Force Awakens was not the worst. It was really just a remade ‘A New Hope’ at the end of the day tho. When fans criticised it for just being a ripoff A New Hope, they decided to make the last jedi retcon and ruin every piece of Star Wars lore they could find. Then when people didn’t like that, they just brought everything they removed back in some weird mess and threw palpatine in because they were too lazy to come up with a new villain.
